A WEEK AT THE KNEES

For Clerkenwell Design Week 2025, @alexchinneck created a new sculpture which bends brickwork once again — the first time since Sliding House in Margate. Built from 7,000 bricks, 320m of repurposed steel, and bespoke bending windows, this monumental work spans 13m in length and 5m in height, while only 15cm thick. At 12 tonnes, it’s designed to carry a free-flowing elegance against its weight.
