I’ll Let That Stay Forever, That Feeling (2025)
A new lithograph in an edition of 50.
Lola Stong-Brett draws inspiration from graffiti and tattoo culture, depicting cartoon characters like Popeye and Bimbo for their associations with working-class identity. Her work captures the push and pull of life - figures on the print are seen cuddling and strangling, reaching and letting go, embracing and resisting.
Stong-Brett’s first lithograph condenses the emotional weight of her bold large-scale oil paintings, while preserving the raw immediacy of her gestural mark-making.
I’ll Let That Stay Forever, That Feeling (2025) will launch today at 2pm (GMT).
