"I am delighted to be returning to London for this exhibition with Woodbury House, I have not shown here in over ten years, and I am excited to see you all and showcase my new works. I do hope you enjoy the exhibition and works as much as I have enjoyed creating them"
"When I create, I live in a bubble during all of the processes of creation. To give you more context, I started to prepare the works for ‘The Return of The Rat’ in September 2022, finishing them in January 2023. During this period of time, I did not do anything
else, seven days a week my focus was entirely on the creation of new original works to share with you all. Some of the new works are really large in size, I love to create large size works because they are the nearest to the real walls on the streets, where it all began for me many years ago! I live with the works I create for a few months, and the pieces are never finished. Some of the paintings you will see have multiple coats of paint, perhaps four or five. I continuously worked on the paintings until I found the texture of an imaginary wall that I had in my head, it is a very long process where I give a lot of myself to my work, always" - Blek Le Rat
